It's time to reboot VanLUG!
Linux has grown in leaps and bounds since VanLUG first started, and yet with the success of Linux the excitement around VanLUG has wained. We want your input on how VanLUG can become more relevant to you.
Are you looking for professional networking opportunities, an easy way to keep up on the latest-greatest in all things Linux, help with a first step in the right direction, like minded people to enjoy a beer with, or perhaps something completely different? We need to hear from you!
Bring your ideas and enthusiasm on Wednesday October 27th and join us for a round table discussion on the future directions of VanLUG. The outcome of the meeting will be a prioritised list of ideas on how VanLUG can best serve the local Linux community. Your input will have an effect on the future of the group, together we'll make VanLUG great.
Please RSVP so that we can order the right amount of pizza and pop. As with all VanLUG events, the meeting is free and open to everyone with an interest in Linux and VanLUG.

i just moved out to vancouver and am sad to see that i just missed this meeting. i've never been to a LUG and i'd love to attend.
i'm a coder, have been screwing around with computers for years. i work full-time at a social networking company and in my free time for the last several months i've been pursuing the hell out of my startup, In Your Hood. i use a Uubuntu VPS to host my stuff but the idea of getting a fat pipe into my home and setting up a rack appeals greatly to me. i dunno if its a horrible idea to attempt to host my own servers but given the quality of my vps i'm not sure it'd be any worse and perhaps a lot better.
anyhow, if there's another meeting soon, i will definitely attend!
