During 2011 VanLUG began using a new medium to announce upcoming meetings: VanLUG Meetup.

Please visit us at http://www.meetup.com/VanLUG-BC/ where you can check out all upcoming VanLUG meetings and events. While there you also can introduce yourself and get acquainted with other VanLUG members.

VanLUG Meetup is also a site where you can indicate your interest and intentions regarding the assorted meetings and events. Your RSVP (yea or nay) there will help us ensure venues are adequate.

N.B. There is no charge for becoming a member of VanLUG Meetup. Any interested person is welcome to attend and participate in any VanLUG meeting, membership in VanLUG Meetup is not a requirement..

Please also note that registering at VanLUG Meetup does not confer membership in the Vancouver Linux Users Group Society (VanLUG) which manages and administers VanLUG. However, paid membership in the society does help defray some of the ongoing costs of hosting meetings and events and confers the right to vote at the society's AGM (Annual General Meeting). To join the VanLUG Society please see the the VanLUG Membership Secretary or the VanLUG Treasurer at any VanLUG meeting or event.
