Hello VanLUG'ers:
This will be our summer event for 2008. Please join us and a lot of other tech groups from around Vancouver for one fun evening!

Summer is finally here and the Vancouver Software Developers Network (VanDev ) is celebrating with a summer evening fair in Burnaby's beautiful Confederation Park. This is our first open house event and we're inviting the Vancouver Lunux Users Group and other groups to join us for an evening of food, fun, and relaxation on Friday July 25th. Bring your family and friends, your tech toys and games, and some food and drink to share. It's pot luck and there are shops nearby for just-in-time solutions. Just bring some fun!
We have organized a number of activities and it's also a good time to bring your gadgets, toys, games, or whatever that you think would be fun to show, discuss, play, and generally have fun with. Our picnic area is rated for 200 people and we've also got a large playing field to spread out on as well as the playground and other park amenities that are open to the public so we've got plenty of room.
Let me know what you are bringing to show so that I can set up accordingly. Also let me know by Tuesday if you need any special equipment or demo areas. We'll be setting up under the picnic shelter and I need to know how many tables we should have.
For more information go to http://fair.vandev.org .
RSVP's are requested by email to fair2008@vandev.org or online at http://fair.vandev.org (registration required to RSVP).
Thanks, I'm looking forward to seeing you there.
Sincerely,
Guy Lancaster, VanDev Organizer
P.S. Special thanks to Sapphire Technologies , The Active Network , O'Reilly , and to all of our sponsors and volunteers.
