recently received the 2008 B.C. Innovation Award in Educational
Technology for Marginalia, a program that allows readers to

locks down our culture affecting the way in which we can engage
our society and our democracy.

enthusiast. He is currently serving on the VanLUG board and

Coalition, which is promoting balanced and enlightened
copyright legislation.

He is the principal author of "Digital Rights and Freedoms"
a work in progress that addresses the kind of information
freedoms users need in the digital era and the way in which
they are being denied.
